Telmate is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) responsible for determining how to best implement, maintain, and grow the technology to benefit Telmate’s business strategy. You’ll be part strategist, technologist, manager, motivator, recruiter, and evangelist.
You’ll be responsible for identifying vendors, partners, hardware and software resources, and managing personnel. You will work at all levels of the organization to turn business goals into reality thru the management and implementation of technological resources.
Applicants must have an excellent combination of both business and technical skills in order to successfully build our IT organization to execute business strategy.
Requirements: skills, knowledge, and education
- Previous experience as Chief Technology Officer
- Moves within the circles of Bay Area and Silicon Valley technologists
- Proven, demonstrable successes
- 10 years of IT related leadership
- Experience with data center management, server and network infrastructure, storage, and security procedures is required.
- Experience in social networks, SaaS, government or enterprise solutions a plus
- Love of Linux based architectures and Apple hardware
- Experience with, and appreciation of, the Agile development processes
- Bachelors of Science
- Passionate communicator who excels in written, and oral presentation
- Ability to communicate with between levels of the origination from C-level and below.
- Understanding of VoIP, cloud computing, and mobile application development

San Francisco, CA – Financial District – (Just a 4 minute walk from the Embarcadero BART station)
