We are looking for a full-time SCRUM MASTER to:
- Be the Scrum Master for one, possibly two development teams
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos
- Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed
- Ensure cross-team coordination
- Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
- Liaise between the Developers and UX Designers
LOCATION
San Francisco (2 blocks from the Embarcadero BART station)
COMPENSATION:
- Salary commensurate with experience

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- It will be a huge plus if you are a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) but it is not required
- No less than 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Scrum Management – not a Project Manager who is “scrum certified” but a full-time Scrum Master
- Experience at a web application development shop and exposure to mobile software development is a plus
- Familiarity with software development in the Linux environment
- Experience in any programming language and ability to discuss highly technical issues with developers
- Expert Mac user and lover or technology, process and organization
- Proven track record of building motivated, collaborative, and productive development teams
- Combination of leadership, team player and decision maker
- Effective facilitation of meetings and conversations, therefore, excellent communication skills
- Expert at handling creative conflict, confronting people issues, resolving disputes when needed
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development
- Understand other processes and methodologies to provide value to a team/enterprise
- Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
- Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
- Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
- Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
- Understand common Agile practices, and better development practices
